Trinity Telecomms (Pty) Ltd has been at the forefront of wireless M2M communications since 1998 and, to date, has provided over half a million devices in South Africa, as a Sierra Wireless distributor. Trinity’s extensive experience in all M2M sectors (including metering, automation, fleet, security and payment) has led them to the next step – a world class integrated solution for M2M markets. Sierra Wireless and Trinity have collaborated to provide a major new wireless platform for monitoring telemetry devices, developed by Trinity Telecomms, and powered by Sierra Wireless AirVantage Services Platform™.
Our unique value proposition is that the solution can be outsourced to our customers as a service, successfully eliminating large initial capital outlay, simplifying maintenance and amortising the maintenance costs over the life of the device. This ultimately reduces the cost of ownership, and can even create additional revenue streams for customers who can on-sell the service through support agreements with their customers.
Trinity has extensive skills and experience in telemetry, across many sectors including mining and industrial, security, energy, logistics, financial, healthcare, retail and others. This enables us to offer a range of design consulting and support services. With branches in Johannesburg and Cape Town, Trinity has the capability and infrastructure to offer support on a national level.
Management team
Ross Hickey - Joint Managing Director
Ross, the founder of Trinity Telecomms in 1996, is responsible for the operational management of the business, including marketing, finance, HR and technical portfolios. Ross has had significant experience in the global wireless market, including three years work experience heading a wireless telecoms company in Hong Kong. He also has strong ties with Trinity’s partners in Europe, Canada and the Far East.
William Hardie - Joint Managing Director
Appointed joint managing director in 2005, William oversees the Business Development, sales and marketing function, as well as the general management of the Johannesburg office. William has spent many years in the IT market, including eleven years with Dimension Data, where he held the position of National Sales and Marketing Director for Internet Solutions.
Louise Wright - Financial Director
Louise was appointed Financial Director in 2004, and is responsible for the direction of the overall Finance and Accounting, Procurement, Human Resources and Information Technology functions. Louise has been with Trinity since 1999, and prior to this was involved in the accounting function at a catering concern.
Martin Weiss - Technical Director
Martin, appointed Technical Director in 2008, has been tasked with the development of the technical strategy for future development, as well as development and support services. Martin has been in the telecoms industry since 1991, and has extensive experience in electronic design and product development within the instrumentation and telecoms fields. Martin´s qualifications include a BSC Electronic Engineering, Masters in Medicine (Biomed).
